New Home Building ProcessLot Siteplan and Home DesignMany of our clients already have a lot and a house design in mind. If not, we will meet with you to get a feel for your lifestyle and location needs. We will help you find the ideal lot for your home, so that you don’t end up with a lot that won’t accommodate your design plans. DesignWe will help you achieve your vision for your new home. Our estimators work with you to ensure your new home meets all of your needs. The finished design should always combine the uniqueness of the individual client with the practicality of function. PricingPricing out your home to give you an accurate idea of cost is a job taken quite seriously by C.N.I. We will talk through the home design and then develop a specification document for you. If you have specific custom design elements you’d like incorporated into your new home, we encourage you to bring pictures. A picture can help answer a thousand questions. At the end of the pricing process, if needed, we can offer design changes to help accommodate your budget. FinanceAfter all the initial contract documents are signed, we can refer you to resources that will work with you on your new home financing. When financing is complete, the actual construction phase begins. Start-UpYour new home construction begins with the excavation. By this time you will have received a schedule of decisions that you’ll need to make and finishes you’ll need to select. Some clients choose to work with an interior designer and some choose to use our resources; we can assist you either way. The Build ProcessAt each critical point of construction, the client will have a walk-through to ask questions or make changes as needed. In fact we often schedule weekly progress meetings with our clients in order to go over the construction time-line, to ask and answer questions, and to assist them with the selection process. This should be a positive and exciting time for our home building clients, and we do everything we can to ensure that it is. Marketing ServicesAs completion draws near, we will keep you abreast of the project completion date. Many clients have existing homes to sell, and we can assist you in the marketing and selling of your home. Prior to move-in, we provide a final walk through. WarrantyYour new home is covered under the exclusive C.N.I. new home warranty that covers most items in your home for up to five years. One of C.N.I. ‘s strongest assets is our service period agreement. Every new home goes through a “breaking in” phase, and it is our policy that any problems are corrected in a timely manner.
